Synthetic High Temperature Chain Oils

Chemlube Synthetic Chain Oils are designed for a wide variety of chain applications where heat is a major factor. When used in the proper application, they protect against wear. Some contain a unique high temperature organo-molybdenum extreme pressure anti-wear additive that acts to protect the chain under the most adverse conditions. This, combined with the natural detergency of the oil and its affinity or polarity with metal surfaces, combines to keep oven chains clean and lubricated properly. Our technical staff can recommend oils based on your requirements and application methods. Some of the overall criteria for selection are provided in this brief overview.

Chemlube® 215 38 cSt @100°F. Chemlube 215 has been proven as an effective chain lubricant for textile tenter frames where a light penetrating oil film resistant to high temperature is desired.
Chemlube® 222 250 cSt at 40°C. Chemlube 222 is designed for use in high temp applications like conveyors and lateral chain belts where lubrication points may include steel belts, carpets of calibrated rollers, heating platens, roller bar chains and beds of roller chains.
Chemlube® 224 210 cSt @100°F. This is similar to Chemlube 225 for those who do not want an organo-moly extreme pressure anti-wear additive.
Chemlube® 225 183 cSt @100°F. The original tacky heavy chain lubricant with a diester base fluid and a high temperature organo-moly extreme pressure anti-wear additive. Use with a drip or hand applied application system.
Chemlube® 226 48 cSt @100°F. A thinner version of 225 with no tack for higher temperatures. Excellent for application through a mister or atomizer type lubricator.
Chemlube® 275
320 cSt at 40ºC.  The 275 is designed for textile stenter frame applications.
Chemlube® 801 175 cSt @100°F. An economical high temperature chain oil alternate to the popular Chemlube® 5083 . Unique chemistry offers high temperature protection.
Chemlube® 5071 183 cSt @100°F. Similar to 225 in viscosity, this chain oil has no tack and utilizes a different base fluid designed for higher temperatures.
Chemlube® 5073 285 cSt @100°F. This is our heaviest chain lubricant and it is based on a unique technology that eliminates tackiness and provides a heavy oil for higher temperature performance.
Chemlube® 5083 134 cSt @100°F. This is simply our best high temperature chain lube developed to date with a unique chemistry that requires no polymer or viscosity improver (V.I.), which can compromise the high temperature performance.
Chemlube® 5093
223 cSt at 40ºC.  Intended as a heavier version of our popular and successful Chemlube 5083.
Chemlube FB
265 cSt at 40ºC.  The Chemlube FB is a successful replacement for a popular Fiber Board oven chain oil.
Chemlube PC 100
99 cSt at 40ºC.  This H-2 Proofer Chain oil is designed for use in proofer boxes and other high temp applications.
Omnilube® PG-130-FG 22 cSt @210°F. An H-1 food grade polyalkylene glycol based chain oil with excellent thermal stability. Extremely reduced deposit formation.
Omnilube® PG-220 FG 37 cSt @210°F. An H-1 food grade polyalkylene glycol based chain oil with excellent thermal stability. Extremely reduced deposit formation.
Chemlube BC 30 103.7 cSt at 40ºC.  This POE based “Baking Chain” oil is designed for chains in oven environments that may exceed 500ºF.

Although all of our fully synthetic chain lubes provide natural cleaning and detergency, we recommend that all chains be cleaned prior to the introduction of any synthetic.
